                       TUNNEL VISION MOTORSPORTS

TVM Racing was formed by good friends Jeff Rigel and Curtis Crawford in 02.  After supporting the open 8 truck of Escandalo racing, Jeff And Curt broke out on their own with a little ranger (7s), and started racing the California series of the Mojave Desert Racing association where we came in 10th out of 25 entries, and missing 2 races to re-think the ranger

TVM started to prep a class 12 car for Aleman Tile.  The car raced south of the border for a solid year and won some races and the other part of the time placing in the top 3 with only 1 DNF.  Rudy Aleman finished 1 point out of first by year end.

TVM experienced different crew and drivers through the years. Curtis had another calling in 04 so Jeff pushed on.  Some of the new members stayed on to this very day and were able to learn and combine all of their talents into a working machine.

TVM has always had the policies of a little race team of promoting within, so in the last race of 04 we encouraged our lead welder to experience his dream and gave him the steering wheel.  We had just updated the engine and it seemed a little much for the leaf springs, limited wheel travel class, and it got away from him twice at a high rate of speed and just about crushed the truck.  Even with the DNF, we squeezed into 3rd in the points championship by only 2 points (18 trucks registered that year).

TVM acquired sponsorship support from TIERRACO de Mexico in 04, so we had to build a new truck fast for the new year.  The TierraCo ranger was always fast, but the ability to hold back for the drivers just wasn't there, so during the 05 season we were breaking leaf springs left and right, sometimes 2 sets per race.  After countless hours and meetings, Earl from TierraCo, agreed that we needed an open class racer, so TVM skipped the last race of the year and converted the little 7s into a 7 open by building a suspension.

TVM barely made the first race in Nevada in 06.  With a comfortable win, everyone started to celebrate and restore the confidence we all knew we had, except Jeff, there was something that was not quite right.  When Earl stepped up and said the truck needed a lot more power, we knew he saw it too.  Jeff looked at Dan who had been managing TVM for a couple of years and asked if he could squeeze a little money out of the year's race budget and the fact we had a winnings check.  This still put TVM on the bottom of the barrel for the year, so we were going to have to be careful.

TVM has grown into a full pro race organization, meaning that's what we do.  We finished 06 as the SNORE 7 open points champions.  We have a great team and set up.  We are one of the best looking off-road race teams in the dirt today, and would like to thank the people in the past and present for helping us get there. There is a special thanks to the only two product sponsors we have.

DESERT TRUCK AND AUTO                    PAT'S RACING TRANS.                          thanks Brent                                                            thanks Pat

TVM will receive a few new members for 07.  These people come from racing backgrounds and are currently involved with their own or other teams and organizations.  Please look at their bio's, for their names are from the legends of the past, present, and future.  They chose our team because they believe we have what it takes and they are willing to take the time to help show us the way. Thank you guys, we appreciate the time you have allocated us.
